About the Budapest Riverside & Island Tour
Without a doubt, the best place to witness the true beauty of Budapest is from the Danube riverside in Buda and Pest.
A bike ride at a leisurely pace, we’ll visit some of the highlights of Budapest, such as St Stephen’s Basilica and the Parliament building in combination with a ride around the green Margaret Island with its swimming-pools and parks. The Riverside & Island Tour is an excellent way to escape the hot city center and catch some breeze on a summer-day.
Your tour guide will tell you all about the most interesting parts of Budapest’s rich past and also share some useful tips on how to spend the rest of your time in Budapest: what restaurants and bars to visit or avoid etc.
The tour starts at our shop behind the Fovam Ter, in Veres Palne U. 44. It is easy to reach by Tram 2 or green metro M4 (station Fovam Ter) or blue metro M3 (station Kalvin Ter).

St. Stephen’s Basilica
Possibly the most beautiful basilica in Eastern Europe and for sure one of the most impressive buildings in Budapest. Construction started in 1851 but was only completed in 1905, due to the collapse of the main dome during the construction. The dome collapsed again during the Second World War but rest assure: it is safe to visit now!
